Futon giapponese. Curiosità

Tanti anni fa, in una trasferta di lavoro mi trovai dormire su un letto morbidissimo. La forma era come il letto di Heidi e sembrava fatto di fieno. Ci sprofondavo dentro.

Non sapevo di cosa fosse fatto, sapevo solo che era un tipo giapponese e che avevo dormito benissimo!

Oggi a distanza di anni, mi preoccupo delle cose di cui mi circondo e tra queste anche dove dormo. Dopo qualche ricerca, ho capito che si tratta del futon. In Giappone dormono su questi materassi molto bassi fatti in cotone e di fibre naturali.

Fortunatamente ho trovato subito un negozio dietro casa che vende materassi futon. Si chiama Futon Italy.

La bellezza di vivere fuori città è che a volte ci sono queste sorprese. Non esistono molti negozi che vendono materassi futon. E infatti in questo negozio la gente arriva dalle grandi città.

Ho comprato un cuscino per ora. È fatto in cotone e trucioli di legno che conferiscono una leggera profumazione come da spa quindi è molto rilassante.

L’unico inconveniente dei futon, soprattutto di quelli fatti in 100% cotone, è che devono essere esposti all’aria molto spesso e manipolati per cercare di evitare che si formi la muffa perché assorbono tutta l’umidità della stanza.

Vi consiglio di provarli! non ve ne pentirete!

Many years ago, in a work trip I found myself sleeping on a bed very soft. The shape was like the Heidi’s bed and looked made of hay. I was sinking in.
I didn’t know what it was, I just knew it was a Japanese guy and I had a great sleep!
Today, after many years, I worry about the things that surround me and among them I sleep. After some research, I realized that this is the futon. In Japan they sleep on these very low mattresses made of cotton and natural fibers.
Fortunately I immediately found a shop behind the house that sells futon mattresses. The beauty of living out of town is that sometimes there are these surprises. In fact, there are not many shops selling futon mattresses. And in fact in this shop people come from the big cities.
I bought a pillow for now. It is made of cotton and wood shavings which give a slight scent as from spa so it is very relaxing.
The only drawback of futons, especially those made in 100% cotton, is that they must be exposed to the air very often and manipulated to try to prevent mold form because they absorb all the humidity in the room.
I recommend you try them! You will not regret it!
